As seen on NBC's Kansas City Live
in August 2007 helped to show how common stains can come out of carpet using household items.
I helped to show how to take common stains and gum out of carpet using vinegar, baking soda, acetone, Vaseline, WD-40, ammonia, and other items. The techniques shown are for use in emergency situations when all you have are common household chemicals.
Household rememdies are good, but sometimes more is needed. Stains require, in many cases, INTENSE cleaning and/or professional care. One thing you can try is a "Home Use" stain/spot remover, while carefully following the label's instructions.
